Pokemon Go Community Day for February Announced

Get ready for Mamoswine. Niantic announced today that February’s Pokemon Go Community Day event would feature Swinub. Trainers can catch the pig Pokemon from the Johto region on February 16th. Trainers will have an increased chance at a shiny Swinub on that date. Piloswine will also finally have the opportunity to evolve into the Sinnoh region’s Mamoswine with the help of a Sinnoh stone.

Other February Pokemon Go Community Day bonuses include 3x catch stardust and 3-hour lures. Any Mamoswine evolved during the event will also learn an exclusive move, which has not been announced yet.

Mamoswine looks to become one of the best Ice types in Pokemon Go, depending on which exclusive move it gets during Community Day. Check out Pokemon Go Hub for a more in-depth analysis of how Mamoswine fits into the meta.

February’s Community Day will start on February 16, 2019, at 10am to 1pm UTC in Europe, Africa, and India; February 16, 2019, at 11am to 2pm PST in the Americas and Greenland; and February 17, 2019, at 12pm to 3pm JST in Asia-Pacific region.
